Full service Eye Care and LASIK Center in Central Texas

Texan Eye is a full service ophthalmology practice with locations in Austin and Cedar Park. Our practice also operates in Marble Falls to accommodate specialty vision care needs. For more than 25 years, Texan Eye has been a leader in cataract and refractive surgery, providing sophisticated laser and lens implant surgery for patients who only trust their vision to the best. Other specialty services we offer include oculoplastics and full service diagnoses and treatment for glaucoma, retinal and corneal disorders. Texan Eye also offers comprehensive eye exams as well as contact lenses and glasses fittings for our patients.

Dr. Doug Lewis is Retiring – Please read his heartfelt letter to his patients:

Dear Patient(s),

It has been my honor and my privilege to serve as your ophthalmologist and our community for the last 25 years as a member of Texan Eye. I am sincerely humbled and grateful for the trust you have shown in me to care for your vision. It has not been an easy decision for me, but after considerable thought and reflection, I have decided to retire from the practice of ophthalmology as of November 22, 2024.

I have the comfort of knowing that I am leaving your vision care in the best of  hands with my fellow doctors at Texan Eye. I am confident that they will continue to deliver the same high quality healthcare that I strived to provide over the years. 

We understand that you may desire to choose a new ophthalmologist outside of our practice. If this is the case, you will need to sign an authorization form in order for us to release your medical records. By law, we cannot share your medical information without your written consent. 

Lastly, I’d like to say in all sincerity that it has been a great pleasure meeting and caring for you. I wish you good health and all the best in the coming years.
